Our client - a leading construction consultancy firm - is seeking a Senior Building Surveyor to join their expanding team in Cambridge. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver a variety of projects across a range of sectors including retail, healthcare, energy, commercial property, education, and the public sector.

Your Role
You'll lead on projects that matter - managing multidisciplinary teams and delivering a wide range of surveying duties. From feasibility studies and contract administration to mentoring junior colleagues through the APC journey, your influence will help shape the built environment while advancing your own professional growth.

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Building Surveyor:

  • Deliver a broad scope of building surveying services across a variety of sectors.
  • Produce specifications, conduct feasibility studies, and manage refurbishment projects from concept to completion.
  • Support and develop junior surveyors, fostering technical excellence.
  • Engage in quality, safety, and environmental best practices across all project phases.
  • Contribute to fee proposals and support senior managers in delivering bids and business development activities.

Requirements:

  • Chartered status (MRICS or equivalent) is essential or highly desirable.
  • Degree in Building Surveying (RICS accredited).
  • Solid technical knowledge and a proven track record of delivering surveying services.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to lead teams and build client relationships.
