An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled CNC Machinist Programmer to join a highly regarded precision engineering company in Cambridgeshire. If you have experience with 3, 4 or 5 axis milling machines and have Hypermill programming experience, this could be a fantastic opportunity to step into a varied and rewarding role which will see you machining different components every day.

You'll be working in a clean workshop producing complex, high-precision, fast turnaround components for a wide range sectors including medical, scientific, and optical. This means you can say goodbye to repetitive machining! That and the fact you're not just on the machines with a 50/50 split between this and programming. It's a business that prides itself on quality, not volume. You'll be greeted by a close, supportive team and will be working consistent hours on days only. There is also plenty of overtime available at an increased rate!
What You'll Be Doing:
- Setting and operating CNC milling machines (3, 4, or 5 axis)
- Machining complex components for variety of industries - Mainly metallics
- Programming and machining your projects from start to finish
- Working to extremely tight tolerances across small batches and one-offs
What's needed:
- CNC milling experience (3, 4 or 5 axis)
- Experienced using Hypermill CAM software
- Ability to work from engineering drawings
- Experience using Heidenhain or siemens controls would be advantageous
