Overview
Our client a construction company based in Cambridge is seeking a meticulous and organised Document Controller to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and controlling all documents related to projects, ensuring that all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible. This role is crucial for maintaining the integrity of project information and supporting effective communication within the organisation. Initially this position is a temporary role (4 weeks duration) with a view to potentially leading to a permanent offer of employment.

Duties

  • Maintain and manage document control systems to ensure proper filing and retrieval of documents.
  • Review, verify, and approve incoming documents for accuracy and compliance with company standards.
  • Distribute documents to relevant stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Implement and maintain document management procedures to ensure consistency across all projects.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and other documentation as required.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a document control role, preferably within a construction project-based environment.

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with industry standards for document control is advantageous.
