A respected ecological consultancy based near Cambridge is looking for a talented Ecologist to join their expanding team. The company are well known for its collaborative ethos and commitment to sustainable, science-led solutions-works across a diverse range of habitats and sectors, from large-scale infrastructure to local nature recovery projects.
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering ecological surveys, assessments, and mitigation strategies, supporting projects from concept through to completion. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an early- to mid-career ecologist to develop technical expertise, take on project responsibility, and contribute to meaningful environmental outcomes.

Key Responsibilities;
Undertake and lead ecological field surveys (including protected species and habitat assessments)
Analyse data and contribute to high-quality reports, including EcIA and biodiversity net gain assessments
Support the design and implementation of mitigation and enhancement measures
Liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to provide ecological advice and input
Contribute to the development of junior staff and the continuous improvement of the ecology team
You will ideally have;
Degree in ecology, environmental science, or related discipline
Proven experience conducting ecological surveys and reporting
Good understanding of UK wildlife legislation and planning policy
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel for fieldwork
- Membership of CIEEM (or working towards it) desirable
