Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of work, our client is looking for a skilled and motivated Approved Electrician to join their well-established Cambridge General Works team.

? What You’ll Be Doing:

Working closely with the General Works & Maintenance Manager, you'll represent the company with pride while carrying out a wide range of electrical tasks. You’ll be liaising directly with long-standing clients, so professionalism and great communication skills are key.

Your day-to-day role will include:

  • Electrical installation, maintenance, and repairs on various systems
  • Fault finding and modification in commercial and industrial settings
  • Conducting testing and inspection, including EICRs
  • Ensuring all work meets current H&S standards, BS7671, and Building Regulations

What We’re Looking For:

We’re seeking someone who’s confident working independently, with a positive, proactive approach and a commitment to high standards.

Ideally, you’ll bring:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience post-apprenticeship in similar environments
  • A solid understanding of commercial and industrial electrical systems
  • Experience in inspection and testing of electrical installations

Desired Qualifications:

  • 18th Edition Certificate (preferable)
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (essential)
  • CSCS/ECS Card (essential – can be supported)
  • C&G 2391 or equivalent (desirable)
  • IPAF, PASMA, SSSTS, First Aid (desirable – training available)
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
