An experienced Production Technician with an electro-mechanical background will become part of an award winning Cambridge Company, designers and manufacturers of a range of mission critical imaging equipment. A competitive salary will be offered with benefits to include a discretionary bonus, pension scheme, 37.5 hour week, variable start/finish times, Life assurance and free fruit and snacks.

What the Production Technician will get involved with:

  • Assembling, testing and troubleshooting electromechanical components and systems according to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Working closely with other engineers and production team members to optimize processes and resolve technical issues.
  • Performing functional tests and quality checks on assembled devices to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Assisting in maintenance and calibration of production equipment and tools.

The Production Engineer should bring the following skills and experience:

  • A relevant engineering related qualification.
  • Proven experience in electro-mechanical assembly to include soldering (to 0201) and wiring.
  • Good fault finding skills.
  • Ability to read schematic diagrams.
  • Exposure to optical assembly would be great to see.
  • Ability to use standard test equipment such as oscilloscopes and signal generators.
