Group Finance Director A global business based in Cambridge is seeking an exceptional Group Finance Director to join its senior Finance Leadership Team. Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a pivotal role leading the financial integrity, operational excellence, and transformation of finance functions across a multi-entity, multinational structure.Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and develop a global team of Financial Controllers and Finance Operations Managers across Financial Accounting, Controlling, and core transactional services.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance in all financial reporting, tax, audit, and statutory processes across the group.
  • Drive group-wide working capital and liquidity management, optimising cash flow and financial risk management.
  • Spearhead initiatives in automation, process improvement, and systems innovation.
  • Act as a change leader in a global finance transformation journey—supporting the evolution to a Target Operating Model.
  • Champion a high-performance, values-driven finance culture with a focus on integrity, collaboration, and continuous development.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external providers, auditors, and group-level finance stakeholders.
Interested candidates should be qualified – ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent, with relevant post qualification experience.You will possess a proven track record of financial leadership in a complex, global business. The role will involve occasional international travel.Experience of international tax/transfer pricing is desirable.This role is offered on a hybrid basis, 3 days in the office.
