Role responsibilities

  • Managing a portfolio of personal tax clients, ensuring all compliance deadlines are met
  • Preparing and reviewing self-assessment tax returns, including income, capital gains and property-related tax matters
  • Providing advice on inheritance tax, trust planning, residency and domicile, and succession planning
  • Supporting partners with ad hoc advisory projects and complex client queries
  • Liaising with HMRC on behalf of clients and handling enquiries and disclosures
  • Developing strong client relationships and offering proactive, tailored tax advice
  • Supervising junior team members and supporting their technical development

Candidate requirements

  • ATT qualified and either CTA qualified or with at least four years of practical experience in personal tax
  • Strong technical understanding of UK personal tax legislation and compliance processes

  • Excellent communication skills and a client-centric approach
  • Proven ability to manage a portfolio and work effectively within a team
