Senior Scientist - Electrochemist

This pioneering company is developing next-generation, low-impact energy storage materials - technology designed to help build a cleaner, more sustainable future for energy and transport systems worldwide.

Their breakthrough work in supercapacitors and novel electrode materials is already turning heads in the sector, and they're now looking to grow their R&D team with curious, creative scientists who aren't afraid to challenge convention. They're on the hunt for an electrochemist or materials scientist with a passion for pushing boundaries in supercapacitor and battery tech. You'll be part of a world class team tackling real-world energy challenges with cutting-edge science; helping shape a more sustainable future, where you'll see your ideas and research translate into tangible, scalable technologies.

What you'll do:

  • Lead hands-on R&D projects to optimise electrode materials and device performance
  • Design, test, and scale materials for high energy density storage applications
  • Collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams, sharing ideas and driving innovation
  • Tackle real-world challenges in materials science, electrochemistry and energy tech

What you'll bring:

  • PhD (or equivalent) in Electrochemistry, Materials Science, or Energy Tech
  • Strong knowledge of electrochemical cell design, component interactions and materials characterisation
  • Industrial R&D experience (2-3 years+)
  • Curious, collaborative, and always ready to challenge the status quo
