Tripod Partners are looking for an Advanced Public Health Analyst to join the Public Health Directorate at Cambridgeshire County Council. This strategic role focuses on providing expert-level intelligence and analysis to support population health, service planning, and public health policy. The successful candidate will work closely with local authority, NHS, and system partners to deliver robust, evidence-based insights—particularly around health inequalities, epidemiology, and children's health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead on population health intelligence to support strategic planning and commissioning.

Design and implement analytical frameworks to evaluate health outcomes and inequalities.

Apply epidemiological techniques to develop and deliver Joint Strategic Needs Assessments and other statutory public health functions.

Scope and resolve complex health intelligence issues and deliver impactful, data-led recommendations.

Present findings to stakeholders, boards, and partners with clarity and influence.

Manage junior analysts and contribute to public health capacity building through mentoring and training.

Ensure data governance compliance and contribute to statutory reporting obligations.

Requirements:

Postgraduate qualification in public health, epidemiology, statistics, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).

Extensive experience working with population health data, health inequalities, and public health policy.

Advanced skills in data analysis, statistical techniques, and use of tools like R, Python, SQL, or equivalent.

Strong communication skills—able to convey complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
