Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Sociology Teacher for a full-time position at an outstanding school in Cambridge, starting in September. Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Sociology at GCSE and A-Level, delivering dynamic, engaging lessons that foster critical thinking and student curiosity.
- Develop and implement lesson plans and schemes of work that align with the curriculum and exam specifications.
- Provide constructive feedback and support to students to help them achieve their full potential.
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment where students feel motivated to learn and participate.
- Contribute to the growth of the Sociology department and collaborate with colleagues on best teaching practices.
Experience and Qualifications:
- A degree in Sociology or a related field.
- PGCE or QTS.
- Experience teaching Sociology at secondary school level (including PGCE placements).
- Applications from Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are also welcomed.
Salary:
The salary for this Sociology Teacher position will be in line with the MPS/UPS pay scale, on a permanent contract.
