Our client is a medium sized organization that is experiencing excellent growth. They are a specialist distributor of industrial related products that are used in a variety of applications. To cope with their increasing head-count & related complexities they are looking for an exceptional Generalist, CIPD qualified HR Manager.

As this is a smaller management team you will work closely with the Directors, be highly visible & therefore free to make decisions rather than being tied down with layers of bureaucracy.

Summary of responsibilities:

To work in partnership with leaders, key stakeholders and HR assistant to shape, develop and deliver HR plans and solutions in line with the needs and priorities of the business.

Operating as an HR expert, to advise, guide and support staff and managers by providing high level people management and development support across the business.

Involved in the detail of Employment contracts & related issues.

Providing expert HR advice and guidance to managers and staff on HR matters, supporting managers in dealing with casework, performance, attendance and employee relations

Identifying HR priorities from corporate and departmental plans, translating business requirements into effective HR practices and delivering people solutions

Delivering key HR initiatives across the HR spectrum, including workforce planning, restructuring, resourcing, talent management, pay and reward, employee relations, employee engagement and performance management.

Ensuring key stakeholders are informed / consulted on relevant changes such as restructures,redundancies and retirements

Analysing and reporting HR information to support with benchmarking and the development of HR strategies and solutions

Developing HR policies in line with current legislation and keeping abreast of modern HR procedures and best practice.

Supporting the development and implementation of pay and reward strategy

Ensuring the smooth running of any working parties to facilitate the delivery of HR policies, projects and initiatives.

Directing, developing and supporting the HR assistant in their duties to support the delivery of the HR strategy.

Leading by example as a role model for the companies values, behaviours and professional

Driving continuous improvement within your own areas of responsibility.

Managing delegated resources (e.g. budgets, equipment and contracts) as appropriate, to ensure value for money.

Performing any other reasonable duties as directed by line management.

Experience needed:

CIPD or equivalent qualification

HR Management experience in a fast moving, reactive environment.

Translating law into best practice employment policy, procedure and advice

Energy & drive

Able to make decisions independently

Excellent communication skills at all levels
