Camera Systems Support Engineer  – Cambridge

Our client is seeking a skilled Technical Support Expert to join their team. This role is based in Cambridge with regular travel to their headquarters in Oxford, as well as national and international travel to support customers.

For this position you will need to have experience in the development of camera systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build, test, debug, and document production-level systems and products
  • Develop user guides, application notes, and demonstration materials
  • Conduct technical demonstrations for customers and internal teams
  • Provide timely and effective technical support to customers via email, phone, and in person
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to products
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to improve product quality and user experience
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a related field
  • A minimum of two years’ experience in a technical support role, preferably in a hardware or software environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and accessible manner
  • Proficiency in relevant programming languages and software tools
  • Experience with documentation and technical writing
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Full, clean driving licence
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two or more years’ experience in the development of camera systems
  • Experience in the infrared camera business or advanced imaging industry
  • Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) systems
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure and networking concepts
