Regional Engineer – Energy from Waste

Up to £65,500 + Car Allowance

MC Technical Recruitment is currently looking to recruit recruiting a Regional Engineer to join our clients Operational Leadership Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a strategic, regional role that supports the performance, safety, and long-term availability of their Energy Recovery Facilities (ERFs) across the East of the UK.

You’ll be working closely with site teams, leading on maintenance strategies, outage planning, engineering assurance, and contractor management. This role offers a broad scope of responsibility and the chance to make a significant impact across multiple locations.

As a Maintenance Co-ordinator you will be responsible for:

  • Lead and coordinate outage planning and delivery across various sites
  • Provide expert engineering advice and support to operational teams
  • Manage and support engineering budgets, lifecycle planning, and CAPEX forecasting
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
  • Collaborate with FM Global and maintain strong insurer relationships
  • Drive engineering best practices and foster a culture of continuous improvement
  • Conduct regular site visits, audits, and performance evaluations

To be considered for this role you should have:

  • HNC (or higher) in Engineering, or equivalent qualification
  • IOSH safety qualification
  • Substantial experience in the power or process industries
  • Strong understanding of pressure systems and maintenance regulations
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and planning skills
  • Demonstrated experience in managing outages and contractors
  • Full UK driving licence
