Our client, is currently seeking an ambitious Heritage Manager to join their expanding team. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead and develop a new team of town planners within a company that boasts over 200 employees across various business areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establishing and growing a team of town planners from scratch
- Managing heritage and town planning projects from inception to completion
- Overseeing applications ranging from minor developments to large land promotions, including diverse projects
- Collaborating closely with clients, stakeholders, and local authorities
- Providing expert advice on heritage conservation and planning matters
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations
- Conducting heritage assessments and impact analyses
- Mentoring and developing junior team members
Job Requirements:
- Experience in town planning, with a focus on heritage management
- Strong knowledge of heritage conservation principles and practices
- Understanding of local authority planning processes and regulations
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in town planning or a related field
