An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced Employment Solicitor (3+ PQE) to join a highly respected, top-ranked employment team based in Cambridge.This is a chance to become part of a nationally recognised firm known for its outstanding work in the education and charity sectors. Due to continued growth, the firm is seeking a talented solicitor to support its expanding client base and contribute to the team’s ongoing success.

The RoleYou will handle a diverse caseload of contentious and non-contentious employment matters, primarily advising clients in the higher education and charity sectors. The work is intellectually stimulating, often involving complex legal issues within large institutions operating in a dynamic national and geopolitical context.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Advising on a wide range of employment law matters
  • Managing Employment Tribunal litigation
  • Delivering training, seminars and legal updates to clients
  • Supporting business development initiatives
  • Supervising and mentoring junior lawyers

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Solicitor with 3+ years PQE in employment law
  • Strong technical knowledge and commercial awareness
  • Experience managing Employment Tribunal cases
  • Excellent drafting, presentation and client relationship skills
  • Ability to lead on matters with appropriate supervision
  • Interest in delivering client training and contributing to business development

Desirable Experience

  • Advising large employers or public sector clients
  • Advocacy experience
  • Previous exposure to the education or charity sectors (not essential – training provided)
