We are seeking a highly organised and experienced Warehouse Manager to lead our clients team in Sawston. This role is a full time, permanent position working 9am 5pm Monday to Friday.


For this position our client is open to considering candidates with relevant supervisory experience looking to take that next step into Warehouse management.


Main Duties:

  • Manage all warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, and distribution of goods.
  • Oversee inventory control, ensuring accurate stock levels and minimal waste.
  • Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimise efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and manage vendor relationships.
  • Supervise and train the warehouse team, fostering a safe and productive work environment.
  • Maintain an organised storage system to maximise space and workflow efficiency.
  • Monitor logistics costs and identify areas for improvement.
  • Oversee fleet management and ensure safe handling of all stock.
  • Collaborate with retail and operations teams to support seasonal demand and promotions.
  • Staff appraisals

Successful Candidate:

  • Proven experience in warehouse and logistics management.
  • Previous experience implementing changes in a warehouse setting.
  • Proven ability to manage a high volume of inbound shipments/goods.
  • Someone who is happy to be working in a fast-paced hands-on environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems and best practices.
