Equipment & Facilities Engineer | High-Tech Innovation | Cambridge | Mon - Fri, Standard Days

Are you the type who sees a broken machine and has to fix it? Do you enjoy blending hands-on problem-solving with continuous improvement and cutting-edge technology?

We are partnering with a pioneering company to find an Equipment & Facilities Engineer who can help optimise their cleanroom facilities, production processes, and specialist equipment.

You will need to think on your feet and be comfortable working on bespoke equipment that there may not be an instruction manual for.

This isn't just a maintenance role. It's a chance to be the glue between R&D and Manufacturing - developing procedures, upgrading kit, commissioning new equipment, and helping shape the facility as it scales.

On a day to day basis, you will be:

  • Developing and enhancing cleanroom environments to support both R&D and production
  • Performing equipment upgrades from concept to fully operational reality
  • Analysing breakdowns and introducing smart, long-term fixes
  • Creating and implementing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting systems
  • Commissioning new equipment and keeping critical systems running
  • Collaborating with engineers across process, test, and characterisation to ensure quality and performance
  • Using data to identify trends, control processes, and support decision-making
  • Writing SOPs, troubleshooting guides, and ensuring QMS compliance
  • Solving real engineering challenges in a fast-moving, high-tech environment
