Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer / Electrical Maintenance Engineer / Mechanical Maintenance Engineer required to join a specialist engineering company supporting advanced manufacturing processes in Cambridge.

The successful Maintenance Engineer will carry out both electrical and mechanical service, repair, and maintenance on specialist production equipment, including high-temperature and vacuum-based systems, ensuring production reliability and supporting continuous improvement across the facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service, maintain, and repair specialist production equipment (including high-temperature and vacuum systems)

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and emergency breakdown repairs

  • Perform electrical and mechanical fault-finding and diagnostics

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and ensure equipment uptime

  • Communicate effectively with internal engineering and production teams

Requirements
  • Proven experience working with industrial equipment such as furnaces, heat treatment, coatings, or similar systems

  • Fully qualified on the electrical side (HNC/HND, or equivalent)

  • Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on maintenance experience

  • Background in both reactive and preventative maintenance in a manufacturing or engineering environment

  • Based in or commutable to Cambridge
