The Role
You'll join a small but skilled engineering team on a busy food manufacturing site, taking ownership of preventative maintenance, reactive engineering support, and equipment improvements across a range of electro-mechanical assets.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering periodic & condition-based PPM on production equipment
- Quick and efficient fault-finding and breakdown response
- Fabricating and machining parts (lathe, milling, welding)
- Supporting CI projects and operational improvements
- Working with the Operations team to maximise equipment performance
- Keeping documentation up to date and using the CMMS system effectively
- Liaising with contractors and supporting site upgrades
- Ongoing training and development to maintain professional competence
- There will be an on-call requirement which will include a standby charge and increased rate if called out.
What You'll Bring
- Level 3 Engineering qualification (Electro-Mechanical preferred)
- Strong mechanical & electrical fault-finding ability
- Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings
- Confident with fabrication and machining techniques
- Able to work at height and in confined spaces
- Understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics & motion control
- PLC logic understanding (desirable)
