Travelling time from my clients depot to the customers depots is included in the roster times.* Responsible for the exam work, preventative maintenance, and corrective action of the customers units under direction of the Team Leader.* Ensuring unit availability for wheel turning runs * Carrying out the required rectification. * Ensuring that the customers depot safety plans and other depot specific safety instructions are followed.* Setting up of a safe system of work each day when working offsite.* Any other depot duties as and when required.* Support other workstreams as and when required at other customer locations.* Deputising for the Team leader when required. Key Responsibilities will include:* Carry out work as allocated by the Team Leader within set timescales and to the recognised standards.* Ensure that safety procedures and documents are adhered to in accordance with VMI & local instruction.* Ensure that work sheets and electronic work recording documentation is signed off promptly and correctly on completion of work.* Ensure that the appropriate Quality and Environmental procedures and work instructions are adhered to.* Attend technical, quality, safety and general briefings ensuring that the necessary action is taken on items raised.* Undertake Safety Critical Work Regulations assessments under the guidance of the Team Leader, taking remedial action where necessary.* Carry out any duties within level of competence, as requested by the Team Leader* Always maintain good housekeeping and standard of cleanliness throughout ATC and customer depots.* Use of all PPE in accordance with standards and local instructions* Assist as directed by Team Leader to ensure rolling stock availability / reliability targets are met.* Maintain compliance with all company policies and proceduresQualifications* You must have a minimum of or equivalent to one of the following qualifications:o BTEC certificate in Engineeringo City and Guilds certificate in Engineeringo NVQ Level 3 certificate in Engineering* Traction and rolling stock qualification preferred.
