Role Statement

The Multi Skilled Engineer (Mechanical Bias) is responsible for the effective day-to-day delivery of both planned and reactive maintenance tasks. The role involves supervising specialist subcontractors, ensuring compliance with all required documentation, and maintaining the highest standards of Health & Safety in line with QHSE guidelines.



Key Responsibilities



Operational Delivery

  • Maintain QHSE documentation and ensure availability via client CAFM systems (e.g., Elogbooks, Hazard Reports, training & competency records, SAP, Prime).

  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001/14001 standards and all relevant Quality Management Systems.

  • Proactively identify and implement innovations to enhance performance and exceed client expectations.

  • Organise and carry out both reactive repairs and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) for site M&E systems, including:

    • BMS, Fire Systems, Air Conditioning, Boilers, Pumps, Valves & Generators.

  • Undertake reactive maintenance tasks as instructed by Contract Support/Management in line with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

  • Prioritise and delegate maintenance tasks to ensure optimal service delivery.

  • Ensure all PPMs are delivered in accordance with task schedules.

  • Respond promptly and effectively to all reactive maintenance issues and site requests.

  • Support installation and repair of plant equipment as required.

  • Provide out-of-hours callout support and emergency cover when needed.

  • Adhere to Health & Safety policies at all times.

  • Ensure compliance with all QHSE procedures, reporting, and risk assessments.



People & Development

  • Attend and participate in relevant training courses to maintain skills and compliance.

  • Foster a customer-focused approach within all operational activities.

  • Maintain effective relationships with key client contacts.

  • Represent the organisation professionally, promoting and maintaining its core values.

  • Deliver services in line with company procedures and policies.

  • Comfortable working outside of core discipline where necessary.
