We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join a well-structured and dynamic reviews team in Cambridgeshire. The client offers a full time contract with an opportunity to work one day from home, a fair and manageable caseload and further training in your portfolio. The vacancy will be for an initial 3 - 6 months with potential for extension.

Main Duties for the Occupational Therapist includes;

  • Deliver functional, strengths based assessments of people in their own homes, or who are placed in a care home
  • Utilise professional expertise to identify and recommend appropriate enabling initiatives and / or assistive equipment for people to promote as much independence as possible in their activities of daily living, both in the home and in the wider community
  • When necessary, undertake joint assessment with other members of the Review Team so that there is shared learning across all Review Team practitioners
  • Facilitate as much independence and autonomy as possible for people through comprehensive demonstration of equipment and support people and their carers Support the service user, formal carers and family carers to use the specialist moving and handling equipment
  • To complete reviews, and reassessment (where appropriate) and update Care & Support Plan's.

To Be Successful;

  • Previous experience working as an Occupational Therapist in the community
  • Manual handling experience
  • HCPC Registration
  • Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you)
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Occupational Therapist Qualification
