Managing a team and the manufacturing activities of this robotics-based product company

Reporting to the Manufacturing Director the Senior Manufacturing Technician will be part of the senior manufacturing team and lead technicians on a range of manufacturing activities. This will include the manufacturing tolerances for robotic hardware builds and testing, relevant documentation, and manufacturing process documentation. Processes would adhere to required safety and compliance standards, and a key responsibility will be that builds will be consistently delivered to high specifications.

As the company look to deliver their next-generation autonomous robotic system, manufacturing and product delivery is of paramount importance and focus for the company.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable manufacturing experience in low-volume, high-value engineering products involving electromechanical components (ideally within robotics).
  • Experience in a supervisory capacity of 2 to 6 people. This should include recruiting and managing a team.
  • Good communication and problem solving skills, including evidence of adaptability and understanding complex engineering.
  • Understand how to deliver to deadlines.

The role will require close contact with suppliers and manufacturing partners, so knowing how to build relationships is important. Similarly, due to the hands-on nature of some processes, and the high levels of quality expected, being able to travel to partners is required, hence interested applicants should have a valid driving licence and their own vehicle.

The company will support your career and provide opportunities to grow professionally, whilst offering a competitive salary and benefits.

No company sponsorship is available. Applicants must have full, unrestricted rights to work in the UK.
