About the Role:

The successful candidate will take full responsibility for delivering the civil and highways components of the campus development, ensuring all aspects are managed to the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. You will be the primary point of contact for the client and stakeholders, and oversee the full project lifecycle from pre-construction through to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead project delivery of complex highways and civil engineering works within a live campus environment
  • Manage the design process, procurement, construction, and handover stages
  • Coordinate with multiple stakeholders including local authorities, utility providers, and technical consultants
  • Oversee health and safety compliance, ensuring full adherence to CDM regulations
  • Manage budgets, forecasts, risk, and programme schedules
  • Provide leadership to site teams and ensure effective communication between contractors, consultants, and the client
  • Chair key project meetings and report on progress to senior leadership

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in leading large-scale infrastructure or campus developments
  • In-depth knowledge of civils and highways project delivery
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong commercial awareness and contract administration experience
  • Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • SMSTS and valid UK driving license essential
