I am recruiting for a Tier 1 national construction business for a new scheme in Cambridge where they need an experienced Project quantity Surveyor to join the team and successfully deliver the project.
The company are a recognised brand with turnover in excess of a billion per year but still retain a family feel to the business in terms of values and how they treat staff, clients and the wider supply chain.They work on frameworks and negotiated schemes in the education, health care, retail and development, office and leisure marketplaces. Project values range from �25 to �90 million and they are with the client every step of the way offering advice, support and finding new and innovative ways of working.
Your duties will be to work with the estimating and bid teams to firm up prices and costs for each package based on the initial bids, compile a working scope of works and bill of quantities for each package and work with the supply chain to establish how each phase will be delivered. Place orders, arrange pre start meetings and then manage the scheme in conjunction with the delivery team and carry out the standard QS role of valuations, payments, remeasures, managing variation accounts, CVR's and weekly, monthly reporting and forecasting through to final account.
The initial scheme is a new build RC frame lab and associated office faculty for the University value approx �30 million and is currently in a pcsa agreement with start on site summer 2023.
