An award-winning, multidisciplinary construction consultancy is seeking an ambitious Project Manager to join their growing Cambridge office. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on high-profile healthcare and education projects across East Anglia and the South East.

The Company

This leading consultancy operates nationally across Project Management, Cost Consultancy, and Building Surveying, delivering major public and private sector developments. With a strong reputation for technical excellence and a people-first culture, they are a go-to consultant for the NHS, local authorities, universities, and major developers.

Their Cambridge office has grown rapidly over the past few years and now forms a key part of the firm’s strategic expansion across the South East. They offer excellent progression, professional support, and a genuine opportunity to shape the future of the regional team.

The Role

As a Project Manager, you’ll take the lead on healthcare and education schemes ranging from £2 million to £150 million in value. You’ll work closely with clients, design teams, and contractors to deliver projects efficiently through all RIBA stages.

The role combines hands-on project delivery with the opportunity to develop long-term client relationships and contribute to the office’s continued success.

Responsibilities
  • Lead projects from feasibility through to handover
  • Deliver healthcare and public-sector projects under JCT and NEC contracts
  • Develop and maintain client relationships (NHS Trusts, local government, universities)
  • Manage design coordination, procurement, risk, and programme management
  • Chair client and stakeholder meetings
  • Support and mentor assistant project managers
The Candidate

The ideal Project Manager will:

  • Hold a degree in Project Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related construction discipline
  • Have 3–6 years of consultancy or client-side experience
  • Demonstrate experience in healthcare, education, or local authority sectors
  • Have strong knowledge of NEC and JCT contract forms
  • Be confident, organised, and client-focused
  • Ideally be working towards chartership (APM / RICS)
Why Apply?
  • Work on major NHS, education, and public-sector projects in Cambridge and beyond
  • Join a fast-growing regional office with a supportive, dynamic culture
  • Clear progression to Senior Project Manager and Associate level
  • Competitive salary and benefits package
  • Hybrid working options and full professional development support
  • A collaborative team that values innovation and work-life balance
