Your new companyWell established principal contractor with a long reputation of delivering projects across East Anglia, working across a number of sectors including Commercial, Healthcare, Defence and Education, as well as key frameworks across the regionYour new roleDue to a growing order book they are now seeking a highly motivated Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. You will play a crucial role in managing all costs related to building projects, from initial calculations to the final figures. You will ensure that projects are completed within budget and to the highest standards.Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
  • Perform risk, value management, and cost control.
  • Conduct feasibility studies to estimate materials, time, and labour costs.
  • Negotiate and analyse costs for tenders and contracts.
  • Manage and track project budgets and ensure financial control.
  • Provide advice on contractual claims and disputes.
  • Prepare and present detailed progress reports.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Previous experience in a similar role working for a principal contractor
