The RoleAs a Project Manager, you’ll take the lead on healthcare and education schemes ranging from £2 million to £150 million in value. You’ll work closely with clients, design teams, and contractors to deliver projects efficiently through all RIBA stages.
The role combines hands-on project delivery with the opportunity to develop long-term client relationships and contribute to the office’s continued success.
Responsibilities- Lead projects from feasibility through to handover
- Deliver healthcare and public-sector projects under JCT and NEC contracts
- Develop and maintain client relationships (NHS Trusts, local government, universities)
- Manage design coordination, procurement, risk, and programme management
- Chair client and stakeholder meetings
- Support and mentor assistant project managers
The ideal Project Manager will:
- Hold a degree in Project Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related construction discipline
- Have 3–6 years of consultancy or client-side experience
- Demonstrate experience in healthcare, education, or local authority sectors
- Have strong knowledge of NEC and JCT contract forms
- Be confident, organised, and client-focused
- Ideally be working towards chartership (APM / RICS)
- Work on major NHS, education, and public-sector projects in Cambridge and beyond
