TimePlan Education is working in partnership with a specialist SEND school near Cambridge to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Computing and Maths Teacher for a September start. This school provides tailored education for pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and is known for its nurturing and structured environment.
The Role:
As the Computing and Maths Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging, structured lessons that support pupils with ASD in developing their academic skills and confidence. The successful candidate will work with small class groups and benefit from strong teaching assistant support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver differentiated lessons in Computing and Maths to meet the individual needs of pupils with ASD
- Create a calm, supportive learning environment that encourages student progress
- Collaborate with teaching assistants and therapists to provide holistic support
- Track student progress and contribute to personalised learning plans and EHCP reviews
- Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and families to support learning and development
About You:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS)
- Experience teaching Computing, Maths, or both subjects
- A genuine interest in or experience working with autistic children and young people
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Patience, creativity, and a commitment to inclusive teaching practices
