Sheet Metal Worker - Aviation
Salary: Up to 40,000 DOE
Hours: Monday-Thursday 7:30am - 5:00pm, Friday 7:30am - 2:30pm
Holidays: 29 days including bank holidays
Location: Cambridge

We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Worker to join our aviation engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your expertise to high-precision fabrication and repair work in a dynamic industry.

About the Role
You will be responsible for fabricating and repairing parts, primarily from aluminium, to exacting standards. The role involves working from engineering drawings, carrying out sheet metal repairs, and ensuring all components meet the highest levels of accuracy and consistency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fabricating aluminium parts to drawing specifications.

  • Skilled use of cutting, bending, hand forming, wheeling and drilling techniques.

  • Carrying out a range of sheet metal repairs.

  • Drilling off, fabricating, and replacing components as required.

  • Riveting and assembling components with precision and consistency.

  • Maintaining accurate records of all work and material traceability.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong background in sheet metal fabrication, ideally within aviation.

  • Ability to work to very high degrees of accuracy.

  • Experience with jigs and fixtures is desirable.

  • Self-motivated and able to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • A methodical and professional approach to work.
