Role Overview: We are looking for a compassionate and experienced 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Year 3 pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This full-time role will start in September and involves providing additional support throughout the school day to help the pupil thrive academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support to a Year 3 pupil with ASD.
  • Implement tailored strategies to support the pupil's learning and development.
  • Assist with classroom activities and ensure the pupil's inclusion in all aspects of school life.
  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and parents to create and follow individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Monitor and record the pupil's progress and provide feedback to relevant stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly with ASD.
  • Strong understanding of the UK curriculum.
  • DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
  • Right to work in the UK and a UK address.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a commitment to supporting the pupil's needs.
