About the Role:Reed are currently working alongside a fantastic primary school in Bourn Cambridge, who are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September. This full-time position involves supporting a Year 3 pupil with Special Educational Needs (SEN), specifically Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) issues and anxiety. Your primary role will be to ensure the pupil reaches their full potential by providing 1:1 support throughout the school day.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the pupil in staying on track with their learning.
  • Monitor and manage the pupil's behaviour effectively.
  • Provide a calming presence and take the pupil out of class if they become overwhelmed.
  • Foster a positive and supportive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Excellent behavioural management skills.
  • Experience working with SEN pupils.
  • DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
  • UK address and right to work.
