We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team. This role involves working closely with students who have special educational needs, assisting them in their daily educational and developmental activities. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education and a commitment to helping students achieve their full potential.

Day-to-Day of the Role:
  • Assist in the delivery of tailored educational plans for students with special educational needs.
  • Support the lead teacher in managing classroom activities and ensuring a safe learning environment.
  • Work one-on-one or in small groups with students to reinforce learning objectives and support their emotional and social development.
  • Monitor and record students' progress, and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Adapt resources to meet the needs of students with a variety of abilities and learning styles.
  • Participate in training and development sessions to improve professional skills and SEN knowledge.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role; experience with SEN students is highly advantageous.
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the challenges faced by students with special educational needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive, encouraging attitude.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and under the guidance of a lead teacher.
