SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team, working with students who have complex needs and learning difficulties. This full-time role offers a path to permanent employment and is ideal for someone passionate about making a significant impact in the lives of children with special educational needs.

Day-to-day of the role:

Provide tailored support to students with complex needs and learning difficulties, ensuring they achieve their full potential.
Work closely with the teaching staff to implement individual education plans (IEPs).
Assist in the development of social skills and independence in a safe and nurturing environment.
Use a variety of strategies to promote positive behaviour and engagement.
Monitor and record the progress of students, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
Adapt resources to meet the needs of students and assist with the preparation of lessons and materials.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Experience working as a Teaching Assistant, preferably with SEN students.
Understanding of the challenges faced by students with complex needs and learning difficulties.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Patience, empathy, and a resilient attitude towards the challenges of the role.
