Polytec are looking for a Repair Technician for our client based just north of Cambridge. You may be required to visit customer premises to upgrade hardware.

Responsibilities:

* Diagnosis and confirmation of Customer reported faults using manual and automated jigs and fixtures
* Disassembly and assembly of products and replacement of key components
* Inspection of repair work carried out
* Use of software tools required for the processing and repair of products
* Hardware modifications as part of internal/customer projects
* Ensure product turnaround times are met
* Training of Internal/External staff

Requirements:

* Demonstrable experience in a Repair/Service environment
* Soldering of PCB's and mechanical assembly/disassembly of products
* Ability to use relevant servicing tools/jigs and fixtures
* Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment, as part of a team with minimum supervision
* Use of hot air gun to remove and replace components on PCB
* Ability to accurately follow work instructions.
* Highly accurate and keen eye for detail.
* Familiarity with MS Office (Excel/Word)
