Key responsibilities include contract management, quality assurance, site inspections, and scoping works related to various improvement projects such as kitchen and bathroom replacements, roofing, and window installations.
Candidates should possess a degree or HND in Building Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field, or have extensive relevant experience in housing/property and planned works contract delivery.
The position typically requires a salary of approximately £40,000 and relevant experience in the field.

TheHousingSurveyorisaninterimopportunitywithintheHousingDirectoratetodeliverplannedimprovementsand/ormajorrepairswithinourhousingstockofsome5,200+homesacrossCentralBedfordshire.

WorkingwithinthePlannedWorksTeamand/orourRepairsServiceourHousingSurveyor'ssupportthecapitalinvestmentprogrammeandmajorrepairsensuringourhomesaresafeandtomeetourobligationstoachievetheDecentHomesStandard.Youwillbesomeonewhoputsthecustomerattheheartofeverythingtheydo&embedsequalityanddiversityinallaspectsoftheHousingServicesdelivery.

Daytodaytheroledeliverscontractmanagementfandqualityassuranceforourimprovementprogramme,majorrepairs,carryingoutsiteinspectionsandscopingofworks.Theprogrammeincludesworkstreamsforkitchenandbathroomreplacement,Roofing,Windows,Doorsandinternal/externalimprovementsacrossourhousingportfolio.Majorrepairsandcomplexworksdeliveryforourrepairsservice.

OurHousingSurveyor'sarecustomerfocusedandthedeliveryofsurveys,inspectionsandimprovementswithinourresidentialhomesrequiresexcellentcommunicationskills.

ReportingtotheHousingPropertyTeamLeaderstherolerequirestechnicalexperiencetoensurequalitystandardsandexperienceincommercialawarenesstoensureVFMisachievedwithincontractmanagement.

QualificationsandExperience:

DegreeorHNDinBuildingSurveyingorConstructionMnagement,orrelateddiscipline.
OrQualifiedbyextensiverelevantexperienceinHousing/Propertyandplannedworkscontractdelivery.
KnowledgeofSocialHousingSatndards,DecentHomesStandard,HHRSRandLandlordresponsibilities.
Experienceand/orknowledgeofCDMregulations/Health&Safety.
