They are now seeking a reliable and proactive Caretaker to join the team on a short term basis.
About the Role
As a Caretaker, you will play a key role in ensuring the school premises are safe, clean, and well-maintained at all times. This is a hands on role that involves general maintenance, site security, and liaising with external contractors, all while maintaining a positive and professional presence on-site.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the school site is secure, safe, and in good repair
- Carry out minor repairs, maintenance, and decorating tasks
- Conduct routine health and safety checks, including fire alarms and emergency lighting
- Oversee site security, including opening and locking up the premises
- Support with the setup of rooms for school events and activities
- Monitor cleaning standards and support with cleaning duties if required
- Liaise with external contractors and manage site visits
- Respond promptly to any on-site emergencies or issues
