About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for those with classroom experience who are passionate about education and confident in delivering pre-set lessons in the absence of the regular class teacher.

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver pre-prepared lessons to classes in Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
  • Provide support and ensure continuity of learning in the teacher’s absence
  • Build positive relationships with students and staff
  • Follow lesson plans and ensure pupil progress is maintained

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Experienced cover supervisor you will:

  • Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor or similar classroom-based role
  • A confident, professional and adaptable approach
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • A passion for supporting young people in education
  • A valid DBS registered on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Eligibility to work in the UK

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

  • Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor or similar classroom-based role
