The Job Role
- Set up CNC machines, including selecting appropriate tooling and materials handling procedures.
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications to produce accurate programmes aligned with project requirements.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC equipment, including milling machines and other programmable logic controllers.
- Collaborate with the manufacturing team to ensure efficient workflow, quality standards, and adherence to safety protocols.
- Conduct inspections of machined parts to verify dimensions and tolerances using hand tools and measurement devices.
- Maintain detailed documentation of programmes, modifications, and machine settings for future reference.
Experience/Requirements
- Proven experience in CNC Milling
- Fanuc control knowledge is essential
- Knowledge of Leadwell machine is advantageous
- Mechanical knowledge of materials handling, tooling selection, and machining processes.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations relevant to machining tolerances and measurements.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in programme development and machine setup.
- Good communication skills.
The Package
- Temporary to permanent position, could be permanent straight away.
- Working hours 7:00- 15:30 Monday to Thursday, early finish on a Friday.
- Salary of £15 - £16 per hour D.O.E
