Location: South East Remuneration: £50,000 - £55,000 + discretionary bonus
Benefits: Comprehensive benefits packageThe role of the Design Manager - Commercial Aluminium Glazing Systems will involve:
- Design Manager position dealing with various commercial glazing systems such as: windows, doors, curtain walling, solar shading, atriums, roofs, canopies, and bespoke glazing
- Ensuring all construction drawings and designs are produced on time to a high standard
- Managing the development and implementation of design proposals and ensure they meet the clients expectations
- Ensuring designs have relevant documentation to support them (specification, structural calculations and thermal calculations)
- Attending client meetings to ensure clear communications through the design period
- Ensuring information is passed between departments so designs have the technical back up required
- Dealing with all technical reports from consultants reporting on behalf of the client
- Managing projects ranging in value from £50k to £2m
The ideal applicant will be Design Manager - Commercial Aluminium Glazing Systems with:
- Must have extensive design experience within the commercial glazing market sector
- Ideally will have dealt with a range of aluminium glazing systems such as; Schucal, Technal, Metal Tech, Aluprof
- Ability to run large scale projects autonomously up to £2m
- High levels of attention to detail and organisation
- Familiar with working in a fast paced environment dealing with multiple projects at any one time
- Enthusiastic, team player, who works well individually also
- Strong leadership skills
- Effective time management and organisational skills
