Temporary Plumbing & Gas Lecturer
Location: Canterbury
Hours: 24 contact hours per week
Start Date: Immediate

We are seeking a Temporary Plumbing and/or Gas Lecturer to deliver high-quality teaching, training, and assessment across a range of programmes.

Please note that this role could be potentially split into two between Gas and Plumbing, so please get in touch if you have experience in either trade specialism.

Teaching Responsibilities:

  • Level 2 City & Guilds 8202
  • Phase 3 Apprentices - City & Guilds 9189
  • Phase 4 Gas Apprentices - City & Guilds 9189

Requirements:

  • Qualifications:
    • Plumbing Level 3
    • Gas Safe registered
    • Gas qualification (ACS or BPEC)
    • TAQA Level 3 (or equivalent A1 Assessor)
  • Knowledge & Skills:
    • Experience teaching Phase 3 apprentices
    • Knowledge of ACS Gas test or BPEC
    • Familiarity with City & Guilds moderation and report writing
    • Smart Assessor knowledge (desirable)

About the Role:

As a Lecturer with East Kent Colleges Group, you will:

  • Deliver engaging lessons and practical training in both plumbing and gas.
  • Support and assess apprentices to achieve their qualifications.
  • Take responsibility for programme design, delivery, assessment, and evaluation.
  • Provide high-quality teaching and guidance to enable learners to reach their full potential.

The role is subject to Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks and ideally you will be on the update service, however we will cover the cost of a new DBS if this is not the case.
