Job Title: Plumbing Lecturer

Main Purpose of the Role:
To deliver high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment to students undertaking Plumbing qualifications, ensuring learners develop the knowledge, skills, and competence required for industry standards.

Subjects to Teach:

  • Level 2 City & Guilds 8202

  • Phase 3 Plumbing Apprentices (City & Guilds 9189)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons to Level 2 and Phase 3 Plumbing students.

  • Assess learner progress and complete all required documentation, including moderation and City & Guilds written reports.

  • Support learners in developing both practical and theoretical understanding of plumbing.

  • Participate in internal and external quality assurance processes.

  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and achievement.

  • Use Smart Assessor (or similar systems) to track learner progress (desirable).

  • Contribute to course development and improvement within the plumbing curriculum area.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required:

  • Experience teaching and assessing Phase 3 apprentices.

  • Understanding of moderation and reporting processes for City & Guilds.

  • Familiarity with Smart Assessor or similar e-portfolio systems (desirable).

Qualifications Required:

  • Plumbing Level 3 qualification (or equivalent).

  • TAQA Level 3 or equivalent (A1 Assessor Award).

  • Teaching qualification and relevant teaching experience.

Hours:

  • 19 contact hours per week

The role is subject to Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks and ideally you will be on the update service, however we will cover the cost of a new DBS if this is not the case.
