Academics Ltd is partnering with a dynamic specialist school in Canterbury that supports pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH). The school is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) who can inspire, guide and positively influence young people who need additional support to succeed in their education.
Key Responsibilites
- Work closely with pupils who require emotional, behavioural and academic support
- Help students regulate emotions, develop resilience and engage positively in lessons
- Provide tailored 1:1 and small-group interventions
- Assist teachers in delivering structured, motivating and supportive learning activities
- Contribute to a safe, stable and nurturing environment where every pupil can thrive
What we're looking for:
- Experience working with children, ideally within a SEN setting/ SEMH background
- Passion, empathy and desire for working with children with Special Educational Needs
- A strong communicator who is able to work collaboratively with staff and pupils
- Learning Support Assistant (LSA) experienced OR aspiring.
** Excellent on-site training, support and CPD is provided to ensure safeguarding of all students
** 90 - 100 per day, Mon-Fri, 08:30 to 15:30, PAYE, Term time only
