An Outstanding-rated SEN school in Canterbury is looking to appoint a dedicated, empathetic, and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join their exceptional team from September 2025. This is a full-time position, with the opportunity to start earlier if you're available.

About the Role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Work closely with students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and/or ADHD
  • Support students in both one-to-one and small group settings
  • Assist with the implementation of individual learning plans and behaviour support strategies
  • Collaborate with class teachers, therapists, and parents to promote student development
  • Contribute to a nurturing, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Recent and relevant experience working with children with Autism and/or ADHD
  • A calm, patient, and adaptable approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and develop within the role
