Academics Canterbury are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join an exceptional Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Canterbury.

This school prides itself on providing an inclusive, nurturing and supportive environment, helping children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) Difficulties to grow into confident, responsible young adults. The staff and leadership team are committed to creating a safe space where every student feels valued, respected and encouraged to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students on a 1:1 and small group basis
  • Assisting with learning activities and fostering a positive learning environment
  • Work closely with teaching staff to create specific learning plans catered to individual pupils
  • Maintain a positive attitude that will motivate the children you work with

  • Experience working with children, ideally within a SEN setting/ SEMH background
