Job Title: Warehouse Operative

Location: Outskirts of Canterbury, Kent (must drive due to location)

Salary: £12.21

Hours: Sunday to Thursday 5pm - 3am

Our Client:

Are a food distribution service supplying the foodservice industry and catering sectors, including restaurants, hotels, royal households, contract caterers, schools, universities and pubs.

Role Summary:

As a Warehouse Operative, you will be responsible for efficiently handling incoming and outgoing stock, ensuring accurate stock levels and maintaining a clean and organised warehouse environment.

Key responsibilities within your new role would be to:

Receive, unload and store incoming stock.
Carry out stock checks and stock rotation.
Pick and pack customer orders accurately and efficiently.
Perform quality control checks on incoming and outgoing products.
Maintain accurate stock records using computerised systems.
Ensure compliance with company policies and health and safety regulations.
Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely.
Keep the warehouse clean and organised.
Assist with regular stock takes and inventory counts.
Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure seamless operations.

Experience and skills required for this position:

Proven experience as a Warehouse Operative.
Ability to lift heavy objects and work on your feet for extended periods.
Ability to work in temperature controlled environments.
Good communication skills and a team player attitude.
Basic computer skills for data entry and stock control.
Forklift licence (desirable but not essential).
