Hours: Sunday to Thursday 5pm - 3am

Our Client:

Are a food distribution service supplying the foodservice industry and catering sectors, including restaurants, hotels, royal households, contract caterers, schools, universities and pubs.

Role Summary:

As a Warehouse Operative, you will be responsible for efficiently handling incoming and outgoing stock, ensuring accurate stock levels and maintaining a clean and organised warehouse environment.

Key responsibilities within your new role would be to:

  • Receive, unload and store incoming stock.
  • Carry out stock checks and stock rotation.
  • Pick and pack customer orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Perform quality control checks on incoming and outgoing products.
  • Maintain accurate stock records using computerised systems.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and health and safety regulations.
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely.
  • Keep the warehouse clean and organised.
  • Assist with regular stock takes and inventory counts.
  • Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure seamless operations.

Experience and skills required for this position:

  • Proven experience as a Warehouse Operative.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and work on your feet for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in temperature controlled environments.
  • Good communication skills and a team player attitude.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and stock control.
  • Forklift licence (desirable but not essential).
