Customer Service Advisor

What You’ll Be Doing:
As a key member of our customer service team you'll support a wide range of customer needs, from processing orders to providing product guidance and resolving queries. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring our customers receive outstanding service throughout their journey with us.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Processing new customer orders and collection requests.
- Handling incoming and outgoing calls, emails and online enquiries.
- Providing product and service information in a clear, friendly and professional manner.
- Informing customers of back ordered items and suggesting suitable alternatives.
- Preparing dispatch notes for drivers and organising delivery routes.
- Maintaining accurate and tidy price lists.
- Producing order forms and product guides on request.
- Building strong relationships with customers to encourage loyalty and repeat business.
- Assisting customers with purchasing decisions and identifying cross-selling opportunities.
- Proactively improving the customer experience, especially in handling complaints or concerns.
- Escalating technical or complex issues to the relevant internal teams.
- Updating and maintaining customer records and delivery instructions.
- Supporting admin tasks including scanning, data entry and producing reports.
- Providing COSHH sheets and other documentation as needed.
- Running end-of-day pick sheets for warehouse processing.
- Assisting colleagues during busy periods or covering for leave.
- Setting up customers for online ordering platforms.
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience in a customer services.
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to multitask and work well under pressure.
- A proactive attitude and team-player mentality.
- Experience with using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Experience with sage is preferred but not essential
