We are seeking to recruit an experienced Team Leader at a new supported living Service (learning disabilities) based in Canvey Island, Essex. Please note that our client does not offer Sponsorship at this time. Salary 29,681.60 - 31,361.60 per annum. Salary quoted is a base salary inclusive of an on-call allowance, plus recognition of anticipated earnings from sleep in's per annum (paid at 40 per sleep).

Shift patterns are;

  • Monday -Sunday
  • Early Shift: 07:00 to 15:00
  • Late Shift: 15:00 to 23:00
  • Sleep in: 23:00 to 07:00

Administrative Shift: 09:00 to 17:00 (times may vary dependant on the needs of the organisation)

The Team Lead role is viewed as a front-line leadership role with care, management, and organisational responsibilities in addition to your current responsibilities. These include;

  • Lead and develop a team of Support Workers at the scheme.
  • Support the Registered Manager in providing care and support in accordance with organisational, contractual and legislative requirements, reflecting policies and procedures and agreed standards under the direction of the service management.
  • Ensure the Support staff receive supervision in accordance with our legislative and organisational requirements.
  • Support the Registered Manager in developing and embedding a culture of continued improvement throughout the service and have a commitment to your own development within the organisation.
  • Develop and maintain a high standard of service delivery.
  • Support and enable tenants to maintain skills and personal interests whilst delivering person-centred care.
  • Support tenants in maintaining their tenancy.

Experience in a similar level role supporting clients with Learning Disabilities is required.

This position will require your commitment to the completion of the Level 4 Diploma in Adult Care (or equivalent) within 18 months of commencing the role.
