A leading organisation is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join its finance team based in Cardiff. This role offers an excellent opportunity to take ownership of key financial processes and contribute to the success of a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities- Overseeing the general ledger, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with finance Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Managing month-end and year-end close processes, including account reconciliations, journal entries, and support with financial statement preparation.
- Supervising and supporting Assistant Financial Accountants in their daily activities.
- Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal financial policies.
- Collaborating with other departments to improve financial operations, including defining processes and timelines for reconciling intercompany transactions.
- Working closely with Regional Financial Controllers on a monthly basis to validate entity-level revenue reconciliations.
- Professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience in a similar role.
- Proven experience in mentoring and coaching junior team members.
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with ERP systems.
